We practice mindful sourcing of the ingredients of our products and use recycled/recyclable or biodegradable components whenever possible.

Sustainable Manufacturing-
We develop, produce, test, pack and ship our products by ourselves always. Our products are handmade in small batches and are result of our passion. We don’t outsource any step of the production, so that our products meet both your standards and ours.
Since we believe in life-long learning, our products are always improving. However, if anything goes awry or you don’t totally love what you received, our customer care team will make things right every time.
Wax-
We use 100% soy wax. We do not use paraffin wax as it is derived from petroleum, originally crude oil, which is unsustainable and non-renewable resource. Studies have also shown that paraffin wax can emit toxic fumes while burning, while soy and other plant based wax like coconut is non-toxic. We also avoid using bees wax as it is obtained by honey bees.
Fragrance Oils-
We believe that natural essential oils are potent therapeutic ingredients and hence we should be mindful while using them. Besides, working with natural fragrances and essential oils can be an unsustainable practice, due to large quantity of material needed to produce a small amount of fragrance. (e.g. – Brazilian rosewood tree grows in the tropical rainforest in South America and is currently endangered or possibly even critically endangered. The tree is felled completely and the logs are then floated downriver to a distillery. Each tree yields about 1% oil by weight of wood.)
Our fragrance oils are derived from both natural and high quality synthetic ingredients. We source only phthalate-free fragrance oils, which mean they are non-toxic to burn. Research has shown that phthalates may be harmful to one’s health and may cause birth defects.
As sustainability is at our core, we abide by IFRA standards. (IFRA-International Fragrance Association, it represents the collective interest of the fragrance industry and has created voluntary standards for usage of fragrance materials)
Wicks-
We use eco braided wicks primed with natural oils, the most suitable ones for our eco-friendly candles. These wicks are designed for better melt pool and they perform better than a normal cotton wick.
Other wicks on the market include metal core wicks which use tin, aluminum, or lead – non-renewable resources. However, lead core wicks were banned in some countries. There are also wicks available that are primed with petroleum, which we do not use for the reasons listed above about paraffin wax.
Glass Jars-
We only use high quality heat resistant glass jars, which can be reused and repurposed as stationery holder, jewelry keepsake or planter once cleaned. We urge everyone around us to imply 3R’s- reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible to save landfill space by keeping useful materials out!
Boxes-
Our packaging boxes are biodegradable and composed of bamboo cardboards!
We avoid using plastic products in shipping as much as we can, however we sometimes reuse bubble wrap which we receive from some suppliers in raw material shipment. We prefer to reuse it instead of throwing it away!
